2025 Marian Essay Contest Open for Entries

2025 Marian Essay Contest Open for Entries

Current 5th–8th grade students enrolled in a diocesan Catholic School, Parish Faith Formation, Religious Education, Youth Ministry or other Catechetical Formation Program are invited to participate in the 2025 Marian Essay Contest.
The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be used for Catholic school tuition, faith formation fees, domestic mission trips, San Pedro retreats, or to donate to the diocesan parish, school, or ministry of their choice.

This year’s theme is “Mary, Pilgrim of Hope”

Mary trusted God, even when it was hard, and never lost hope, even when her Son was crucified. Can you think of a time when you had to trust God during a difficult situation? How did your faith help you stay hopeful, and how can you be a witness of hope to others?

The entry form and additional details can be found www.cfocf.org/mariancontest. Entries must be submitted by April 3rd. Winners will be announced the end of April 2025.

The Marian Essay Contest is administered through the Fr. Frank X. Zammit Endowment Fund at The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida in conjunction with the Office of Schools and the Office of Laity, Family and Life.
