My Dear Sisters & Brothers in Christ,
Most of us, born in this country in the last fifty years, came into this world at a time that denied that we had a legal right to life. We were not acknowledged as a human being in the womb – and yet, a personal decision was made that this gift from God would see the light of day. We give thanks that our mothers and fathers choose life and gave us the opportunity to make a mark that might possibly improve or change, for the better, the society in which we live. We had the chance to contribute our unique gifts and talents that would become long-lasting.
Since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, over 63 million unborn babies were not given that chance and went straight to Heaven. Our rosaries and prayers over the many years, dedicated to end abortion, were made manifest in this recent historic Supreme Court decision to reverse and acknowledge that the unborn have a right to life, as we know it, and are people with a mission to make the most of what God gave. We think about that as we acknowledge the precious gift of life that we have – and respect it.
Peace, Prayers & All Good Things,
Fr. Charles
